  • At Self Care Therapeutics, session timing can vary because it depends on each individual client’s need. It typically ranges from 45 min-60 min, however it can be longer or shorter depending on availability, A good rule of thumb is to allot at least a hour for sessions.

Our hours of operation range from 8:30 am-7:30pm Monday-Friday. We also make adjustments and open to weekend sessions as well at the discretion of the clinician and availability.

  • Insurance for therapy works the same as other professional services. Depending on your plan, Insurance covers the portion your plan agrees to and then the patient is responsible for any copays or deductibles. The best thing to do is to call the member services number on the back of your card and ask “what is my responsibility for virtual mental ehatlh therapy for an in network provider?”

Self Care Therapeutics accepts the following insurances: Blue cross blue shield, Aetna, Amerihealth, United Healthcare (OPTUM) Delaware first health (CENTENE), Highmark Health Options, and Independence BCBS of PA. We also take EAP (Employee Assistance program) sessions as well.

    • An insurance deductible works the same as a car insurance deductible. You must meet your deductible first before insurance covers all or a portion of your services. So if your deductible is $600 , you must pay out of pocket for any service up to $600 then after you might be responsible for coinsurance (percentage amount of cost of service) or copay.

  • Copay is usually a fixed amount you have to pay for each service, no matter the cost of the service. It can range from as low. as $5 to as high as $60 or more. It just depends on your insurance plan.

Coinsurance is not a fixed amount. It is actually calculated based off the cost of service. So if you have 20% coinsurance responsibility on your plan, that means you have to pay 20% of the cost of the service. For example, let’s say for a a hour therapy visit the cost is $100. You are responsible for 20% of that. Lets say for a 45 min visit , the cost is $80. You are responsible for 20% of that. This is why the number can change bc costs of services can vary depending on the service
